Daily Schedule
This is a typical schedule for a driver scheduled to drive five trips. It never goes exactly like this, but we follow the basic outline, especially in the beginning of the day and the end of the day. The middle of the day changes depending on the fluctuating demand for our rides.
We have hired people for as little as two days a week. We much prefer to find someone who can handle working five or six days a week. That still allows a little freedom in the schedule to move people around if necessary and also to allow drivers to trade days off.

- Sign in. One minute late and you forfeit your daily on-time bonus.
- 8:00 to 8:10
- Shovel the areas required prior to moving dogs.
- 8:10 to 8:30
- Move dogs from their houses to the staging area
- 8:30 to 8:40
- Water the dogs in the staging area and dogs left at home.
- 8:40 to 8:50
- Prepare your sled, harness your first team
- 8:50 to 9:10
- Progress down shovel checklist. Pick up crap.
- 9:10 to 9:15
- Make sure you are ready for your trip. Prepare to receive guests.
- 9:20
- Final prep for trip. Receive and load guests.
- 9:25 to 10:10
- First trip of the day
- 10:10 to 10:25
- Water dogs, take pictures, return dogs to staging area or home.
- 10:25 to 10:40
- Prepare your sled, harness your second team
- 10:40
- Final prep for trip. Receive and load guests.
- 10:45 to 11:30
- Second trip of the day
- 11:30 to 11:45
- Water dogs, take pictures, return dogs to staging area or home.
- 11:45 to 12:00
- Prepare your sled, harness your third team
- 12:00 to 12:10
- Chores.
- 12:10
- Final prep for trip. Receive and load guests.
- 12:15 to 13:00
- Third trip of the day
- 13:00 to 13:15
- Water dogs, take pictures, return dogs to staging area or home.
- 13:15 to 13:30
- Prepare your sled, harness your fourth team
- 13:30 to 13:55
- Lunch break
- 13:55
- Final prep for trip. Receive and load guests.
- 14:00 to 14:45
- Fourth trip of the day
- 14:45 to 15:00
- Water dogs, take pictures, return dogs home.
- 15:00 to 15:15
- Prepare your sled, harness your fifth team
- 15:25
- Final prep for trip. Receive and load guests.
- 15:30 to 16:15
- Fifth trip of the day
- 16:15 to 16:35
- Take pictures, return all dogs home.
- 16:35 to 16:45
- Put sleds and harnesses away, clean up trailhead
- 16:45 to 17:10
- Water dogs, finish picking up crap, shoveling or any other loose ends
- 17:10
