Summer Hangouts

For guests ages 10+

Hangouts are just what they sound like. You get to hang out with our dogs as they enjoy some time in the exercise yard. During the summer we rotate the dogs through our four acre exercise yard in groups of about ten or so. They run around chasing each other, peeing on trees and snoozing in the shade. As they cruise around the yard with their buddies, you can walk with them, sit with them, brush them, or just watch.

Since this experience is mostly unguided and the exercise yard has many obstacles, we can only allow guests who are ten years old or older.

Hangouts are available almost daily, from about May 1st to October 31st, at 08:00 am and 09:00 am. See our reservation calendar for specific dates and times.

Plan on spending about an hour with us. Most people choose to spend about 30 to 45 minutes in the exercise yard, and then there is a bit of check-in and check-out time. If you think you want to spend more time with the dogs, choose the earlier time slot. We must clear out the exercise yard at 09:45 to prepare for the 10:00 kennel tour.




Hangout Do's and Don'ts

  • Closed toe shoes required
  • Long pants and shirts recommended
  • DO take a walk. It gets the dogs moving with you.
  • DO pet the dogs that approach you
  • DO brush the dogs that like it
  • DON'T enter or exit the exercise yard without assistance from our staff
  • DON'T run or chase the dogs
  • DON'T climb trees or the play structure
  • DON'T carry loose items like purses
  • DON'T take in food
  • DON'T smoke

Risks and Rules

If you are coming for a ride with us, it is helpful to read our risks and rules before you show up. We will review these with you before your trip, but if you already know them, your time with us will be safer and more enjoyable. Also below is a waiver. If you have a large group coming, it is helpful to have the liability waiver signed by everyone before you show up as well. It saves a little check-in time.
