Grand Huts mission is to provide a backcountry recreational hut system in Grand County. Their Broome hut, in the beautiful 2nd Creek basin, is open for day use and overnight stays. Reservations are required for overnight stays and can be booked through Huts.org. Beautiful views & wild life, in the alpine environment. The 1 mile hike or ski climbs 800 feet in elevation. Time : 30 to 60 minutes. Suitable for all ages. The Broome Hut overnight quarters sleeps 16. It has pellet stoves for heat, solar power for lights, kitchen & dining area, propane stove tops, composting toilets,non-potable water . The perfect setting for a back country adventure.
